Reem’s California is a nationally renowned Arab street corner bakery, an independent business, women of color owned, and is currently transitioning to worker ownership. Inspired by the corner bakeries in the streets of the Arab world, they create the experience of home through fresh baked bread, using traditional Arab flavors and local fresh ingredients, all prepared with California love. They offer a line of frozen baked and savory products, giving customers the ability to experience the warmth and freshness of their products right out of their homes. Based out of SF, but with locations in both the Mission and Fruitvale, Oakland (endearing neighborhoods with rich histories), their mission is to be an anchor space that provides good jobs, delicious & nourishing food, and home to many, especially as many of us keep fighting the reality where the connection of home is disrupted by rising rents, gentrification, and colonialism. Thus, Reem’s allows customers to shop with both their palettes and values.
