Donnelly Chocolates is a family-owned chocolate business by brothers Richard and Henry Donnelly in Santa Cruz. They opened their doors in 1988 and quickly this little chocolate shop became internationally recognized when Richard won the Best Artisan award at the prestigious Euro Chocolate Festival in Perugia, Italy. Then years later was awarded one of the "10 best chocolatiers in the world" by National Geographic. They are known for their creamy, rich chocolates — using both Belgian and French chocolates — and their ooey-gooey caramels.
